Does Black Friday even mean anything anymore? What with the pre-Black Friday sales and the post-Black Friday sales. Is every day Black Friday now? Another poster mentioned that we have enough big screen TV’s and suggested Black Friday “grocery” sales this year. Anyway, as a Canadian, I’m still doing my homework so I can avoid spending any money on american made products.

Least in the US side I can’t say I’ve seen anything that doesn’t follow the pattern of $75>$125>$89.99!!! Get your Black Friday deal now!

Considering this is literally the first time I’m even hearing of this I’m going to guess this isn’t going to be very impactful :/

There’s been talk of it on other social media for quite a long time, all over TikTok and even my friends still on Twitter and insta have asked about it. You might be right but I also don’t think these kind of movements have targeted the fediverse platforms

I was thinking more about news coverage, but I guess I should have realized they would never want to cover something like this because the billionaire owned media wouldn’t want people to know about it.

Oh yeah it won’t get any play like that, the Seattle Times has a piece on it but even if it’s really successful I wouldn’t expect MSNBC to cover it, Fox might if they can spin it as the godless lefts war on Christmas but they also risk spreading the word that way.
