Putin wasn’t always privileged IIRC. He was a taxi driver at one point, and I also wouldn’t call being a paper-pusher for the KGB a laid back no-stress lifestyle.


I think this is a reserve service, similar to the US national guard as opposed to the army.


Apart from the comments being insane, I just want to mention that most countries outside the US had their exports grow in general, but the exports to the US fall.
Point is, the world is fine without the US.

That’s an important distinction IMO.
It’s pretty normal to need different ID cards to use some services in the EU.
You need student ID for student tickets, on the train if there is a senior or a youth discount they check for ID.
If you are an EU citizen, your ID is valid everywhere in the EU, no passport needed.
