I didn’t think anyone expected the Republicans to do anything about the subsidies, that’s why everyone was upset with democrats capitulated.

Their arguement was that the Republicans would then “own” the increase, which does seem to be playing out that way.

Personally I think folding was a stupid move, but I guess time will tell.
