This case is not that. He chose not to pay, he chose to shoot at people, and he chose to kill himself.

It’s because they are stupid and fear going out in a blaze of maddened glory. When I think no surrender it’s going down with the intent of taking every last bastard possible, not bitching out and putting a bullet through one’s own brain. Not quite, “Kapituliere nicht” would be the correct imperative form, but sounds a bit weak. “Kapitulieren? Nein!” would work, but not without the question mark. No surrender would be “keine Kapitulation”.
